Less is more: concise notes are faster to review and reuse.
Use quick headings, short bullets, and one link to share or reference across devices.
Combine Woff for capture/sharing with your favorite long-term archive for the best of both.
Minimal does not mean unstructured
A minimalist system keeps only the structure that helps retrieval. A short title, a date, one context label, and a clear next action are often enough. Removing those anchors makes a note shorter but harder to use.
Use the capture, clarify, move rule
- Capture the thought before it disappears
- Clarify what it means and whether it requires action
- Move durable information into the long-term system where you will search for it
Separate temporary notes from durable knowledge
Use a quick online space for handoffs, rough thinking, and information that will expire. Use your archive for research, policies, reference material, and anything you expect to revisit months later.
Review less, but on purpose
Instead of constantly reorganizing, schedule a short weekly pass. Delete what no longer matters, promote the few durable notes, and leave the rest alone.
